Jumbled Connection is a game of bound actions. Red and green are connected via some mysterious force that jumbles their ability to do things. Jump might be space for one but shift for the other. To escape the world, you will need to get both to the stones and progress through each level.

I made this game specifically for the Game Maker's Toolkit 2021 Game Jam. I am proud of what I accomplished in the time provided seeing as how this was my first game jam. I didn't really know what to expect lol. It probably would've gone better with a team, but I think it was an enjoyable experience still. Feel free to leave feedback and let me know if you liked the game

This is awesome for a first game jam! Love the torches, I reckon you could have had the light's distance even further and have them flicker slower. You've got some interesting stuff happening with the glow around the players and the acid, So I reckon giving the torches more distance and the making the background darker could emphasise that and make everything look extra fancy. I'm not huge about puzzle platformers, but I got about halfway through the first level with scrambled controls. Really cool game yo!

Thanks so much for taking the time to play my game! I'll look into enhancing the game visually with different effects and lighting. If you're curious, I used 2d lighting from the universal render pipeline in Unity for the torches and other lighting effects. Really simple to do and all you need is to randomize some values in a coroutine to create a nice flicker effect.

oh dam, sounds sick, I'll have to give it a shot! I just imagined it'd be the same as 3D lighting and I just haven't been able to get it to look right lol. Thanks!

For sure and if you need any help figuring it out feel free to message me :)

Really cool look and awesome puzzley levels. The remapping of controls really jammbled my brain, but made it way more rewarding to get through the levels.

Thank you so much!

Awesome game design! I really enjoy your levels! Really nice animation works in such a short time. The mix match control has its learning curve especially when the control are swtiched, but after a while it came smooth and handy. Somehow I stucked at level 3 since I can't use the green one the get pass the acid water. I enjoyed all the contents so far especially in level 2 when I have to get two guys into opposite side, great idea! And thanks for playing our game BabylonTower!

Thanks for the feedback, I think it was my bad on the acid pit for level 3. I think I made the jump a little too difficult and didn't explain how to get across it. You needed to press dash and jump right at the edge. Will hopefully get better at spotting things the more I do level design. Also, thanks for playing my game too :)
